Triathlon: Laura Bennett to Appear in MOJO Network Special

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (July 30, 2008) -- MOJO HD's new summer series, "A Shot at Glory," features 10 athletes, including triathlete Laura Bennett, and their quest to get to the top in the 2008 competition in Beijing. The series tracks the physical and mental preparation of each athlete and how they remain motivated through it all.

A special episode about Bennett, a 2008 Olympian, will initially air Monday, August 4 at 9 p.m., ET/PT, with additional airings on Tuesday, August 5 at 11:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m., ET.

MOJO HD is available on all major cable systems nationwide in high definition offerings.

Visit the MOJO website for more details.

Bennett, from North Palm Beach, Fla., came close to greatness before, narrowly missing out on the Olympics in 2000 and 2004. But after teaming up with fellow triathlete and husband of four years, Greg, she has found happiness both athletically and emotionally. Laura trains on hills, runs the trails of Boulder, Colo., and body bashes in Noosa, Australia. A Shot at Glory follows her to the 2008 World Championships and is there as she prepares for the most important race of her life.

What does it take to train all your young life and succeed at the highest levels in athletics? MOJO HD and USA TODAY Live partner to present A Shot at Glory, introducing 10 of the United States' most promising athletes with hopes to excel this summer in Beijing. Not all will make it.

The 10-part, all high-definition series delves into the mindset and motivation of the competitors as they discuss their intense training schedules and nutrition programs, their mentors and role models, their career- making competitions and the personal stories behind each hard-fought climb to the upper echelons of sport.
