The Ironman is a mixture of sport challenge and tourist holidays for the athletes; the majority came from foreign countries. They spend 4/5 days in the region and are accompanied by an average of 3 persons, families and / or friends. 2 to 4 stars hotels near the event are completed by the athletes and their companions.
For this edition, the United Kingdom, Spain, Germany and Italy are the 4 countries most represented. 61 different nationalities will be gathered on the Baie des Anges for a common goal: to be Finisher of this 5th edition!
Ironman France is one of the most beautiful of the series thanks to the beauty of landscapes and ideal climatic conditions. The opportunity for athletes to discover, the days before and after the race, historic villages of the hinterland, heritage, gastronomy and local crafts.
