December 2, 2015: Athletics: Run Ottawa to organize annual Emilie's Run starting in 2016
The race, which started in 2006, was renamed Emilie';s Run in 2007 in memory of Émilie Mondor, an Olympian at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens and the first Canadian woman to run sub 15:00 for 5K.
July 18, 2015: Rachel Hannah who has won the Sports 4 Emilie's Run the past two years placed fourth in today's Pan American Games Marathon in Toronto.

May 24, 2015: Rachel Hannah made her marathon debut this morning, winning the Canadian Marathon Championships in 2:33:30 in the Ottawa Marathon.

June 21, 2014: Athletics: Hannah Breaks Course Record at Sports 4 Emilie's Run 5K
Rachel Hannah of Toronto broke the course record at Sports 4 Emilie's Run 5K in Ottawa this morning running 15:57.5 to break the previous record of 16:08.5 set by Kiwi Mary Davies in 2012.

May 30, 2014: Rachel Hannah, the 2014 Canadian Half-Marathon champion, who placed 2nd Canadian in the Lowertown 10K on the weekend has committed to running the Sports 4 Emilie's Run - The Emilie Mondor Memorial 5K race for Women on June 21st.
Rachel has indicated that she will be taking a run at the 5K course record of 16:08 set by Kiwi Mary Davies in 2012. Rachel split 16:31 for the 1st 5K of the Lowertown 10K so she is certainly fit enough to go for it.
While the race attracts a number of very fast runners, it is open to women runners of all levels and abilities. The race is meant to be a celebration of women's running in memory of a Canadian Olympian and the first Canadian woman to run under 15 minutes for 5K.
If you want to run on a fast, scenic course and one of the area's few certified courses, Sports 4 Emilie's Run is the race for you.

In the Masters category Emilie's Run had three of the top ten results including the 1st and 2nd place rankings.
No other race has more than one top ten performance!
