Motivation for the Millennium
One of the most treasured gifts I received one Christmas was also one of the smallest. It was a tiny box of motivational sayings. Over the years, I’ve continued to collect quotes by famous people as well as sayings by others I’ve never heard of but which strike a chord within me.
I’m willing to bet that being a goal-oriented athlete, you have also been touched by certain words that carry special meaning for you. Why not share them with us here at the Runner’s Web? We’ll be publishing the top 100 motivational sayings just in time for the 2000-racing season.
With apologies to some of the writers below, here are my versions of a few favourites:
