More than 300 leaders in the sport are scheduled to attend the conference at the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines. The fun starts on Monday, February 5 with the opening reception on the lawn overlooking the famed Torrey Pines Golf Course.

Hall of Champions Dinner and Auction
One of the highlights of Running USA 2007 will be the Tuesday evening Hall of Champions Awards Dinner and Auction. The banquet will see the induction of the fourth class of Running USA's Hall of Champions which recognizes individuals who have made important and noteworthy contributions to the sport and business of distance running. Last year's class included Leslie Jordan, owner, Leslie Jordan, Inc. apparel company; Carol Lasseter-Rice, publisher, Running Times; Guy Morse, executive director, BAA Boston Marathon; Bill Roe, president, USA Track & Field, and Allan Steinfeld, race director / president, ING New York City Marathon / New York Road Runners.
At the dinner, there will also be a live auction benefiting Team Running USA and youth running programs. Great items up for bid include two courtside tickets at the Staples Center for a Lakers-Kings game, a Runner's World Legend of Running speakers package, a VIP trip to one of the great Elite Racing events, Disneyland passes, 2008 U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials VIP passes, a Nike/iPod package, a IEG Sponsorship Conference registration and an autographed Lance Armstrong jersey. ING Run for Something Better Youth Running Programs Workshop
New for 2007 is a special section of the conference dedicated to Youth Running & Fitness Programs sponsored by ING. The section starts on Wednesday, February 7 with a keynote address by Dr. Charles Kuntzleman of Fitness Finders and a panel discussion titled "Successful Youth Programs." The youth conference continues with breakout seminars on Wednesday and Thursday. Part of the Youth Conference will be the presentation of several awards recognizing excellence including the Youth Runner Magazine awards for the Program of the Year and the Best New Program of the Year.
