BOSTON (24-Feb) -- Nick Symmonds confirmed that he will not attempt an 800m/mile double at the AT&T USA Indoor Championships.

"I don't really feel like running two races tomorrow," he said after winning the second of three heats in the 800m.

Symmonds, who ran a personal best 3:56.72 indoors this season, is the favorite in tomorrow's 800m final which is scheduled for 4:13 p.m. The mile --which is a straight final-- is scheduled for 5:14 p.m. Symmonds is entered in the mile, but only as a precaution in case something had gone wrong in the 800m today.

Alan Webb is the favorite in the mile, but should get a good challenge from Chris Lukezic, his sometime training partner.
