FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – No. 14 Arkansas Razorback women’s track and field will continue the 2009 indoor season with the first road trip of 2009. The squad will split ways as the distance runners head west to Washington and the sprinters and the jumpers head east to Penn State. Both meets will take place Jan. 30-31.

Competing in Washington will be BYU, California, Cal State Northridge, Colorado, Hawaii, Long Beach State, New Mexico State, Oral Roberts, No. 10 Oregon, Portland, Portland State, San Francisco, No. 16 Stanford, UC-Davis, UC-Santa Barbara, UCLA and USC. Competing in State College will be Cincinnati, Connecticut, Georgetown, No. 25 Kentucky, No. 18 Penn State, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, No. 2 Tennessee, Villanova, Virginia and No. 7 Virginia Tech.
In the latest U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches’ Association poll, released Jan. 28, Arkansas sits at No. 14. Texas A&M, Tennessee and Michigan rank in the top three. Arkansas is one of six SEC schools listed in the poll.
Junior Katie Stripling holds the top spot in the SEC in the pole vault. Additionally, the Razorbacks hold six spots in the top three in five different events.
