Health and Fitness: Running The Race Of Life, This Mompreneur Is Bornfit

Athletic Wear Inspires Moms With Fitness Being the Foundation

In the race of life, Lisa Welch's passion for family and fitness runs together closely, from the unique design in one of her ultra-comfortable garments to the new mom aspiring to achieve a memorable goal. She helps us understand how brightly our light can shine from within and carries it throughout everything she does. From her business to her children, to her witty sense of humor.this Mompreneur is BornFit!

BornFit, an innovative apparel collection that creates athletic wear for moms and women of all ages, was created by two college roommates, turned moms, who recognized a void in the marketplace for maternity activewear.

Welch became a clothing designer to express an inspirational message through active wear for moms and moms-to-be. As a marathon athlete, entrepreneur and mother of two, she is living her dream of motivating moms, taking an apparel company to new heights and never forgetting to give back along the way.

Mother's day is the one day out of the year that is completely dedicated to the celebration and appreciation of Motherhood. With the busy and active lifestyle of today's moms, remembering to appreciate one's self and focus on individual goals can get lost in the shuffle. As a Marathon runner, Lisa Welch incorporates almost a perfect balance between her work, her family, and her passion to stay fit.

Bornfit takes a "Mothers Day" approach to their everyday philosophy in the fact that they celebrate the abilities of moms to keep active, while promoting confidence and apparel to keep you moving in comfort and style. BornFit believes that fitness is the foundation, and encourages moms to stay fit before, during, and after their pregnancy.

Welch's passion for running is not solely for her own health and benefit, but she seeks to find marathon's that benefits her favorite nonprofits and foundations. "What I'm most proud of, though, is that in all the marathons we raised money for non-profits," says Welch. Lisa has run for causes such as the American Cancer Society to fun races such as the Rock N' Roll Marathon in San Diego. This strong-hearted mindset is the core of BornFit, who pays it forward by donating ten percent of their profits each month to causes that truly resonate with them. It is the ultimate gift of Welch's time, talent and treasure.

Many wonder how this "mompreneur" seems to do it all, while maintaining an uplifting spirit. While expecting her third child in mid-April, she shares her vision authentically with women's organizations and special interest groups. Welch's message is that a woman can simultaneously achieve any goal, be a fantastic mother, and actively care for herself.
