Fifth Annual Avia OC Marathon & Half Marathon Making A Splash With An All New Course, New Date, Fantastic Finish and More!

Orange County, CA - The Fifth Annual Avia OC Marathon is a weekend-long sporting event on May 1st -- 3rd, 2009 held within a major West Coast consumer market, with a population in excess of 3 million. Currently, there is no other countywide marathon for this target market. The Avia OC Marathon includes a Half-Marathon, 5k and Kid's Races highlighted by a free, two-day health, fitness and nutrition expo.

The exciting new coastal course is a blend of chic coastal scenery, tranquil nature views and sophisticated arts and shopping, which will offer a great backdrop for an extraordinary race experience the entire Southern California community can embrace. Starting at Newport Beach's Fashion Island in Newport Center, the new course features Pacific Coast Highway, Corona Del Mar Village, Scenic Ocean Views, Newport Bay & Back Bay, OC Performing Arts Center, South Coast Plaza, and the Santa Ana River with a fantastic finish line festival taking place at the OC Fair and Events Center in Costa Mesa.
