Athletics: Watson Fourth At Pre Classic

Rob Watson’s dream season added another chapter Sunday Night at the Prefontaine Classic in Eugene, Oregon. Watson, who was a last minute addition to the field placed an outstanding fourth overall in the men’s 3000 metre steeplechase. Watson’s time of 8:27.09 was the fifth fastest in Canadian history and improves upon his number one ranking in Canada. The Prefontaine Classic is widely regarded as the top track and field meet in North America.
