Athletics: Athletics Canada names 2009 IAAF World Youth Championships Team

OTTAWA – Athletics Canada announced today the team that will compete at the 6th International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF) World Youth Championships taking place July 8-12 in Bressanone, Italy. The events are scheduled at the Brixen-Bressanone Sports Arena which seats 6200 spectators.

“This is the largest team for the World Youth Championships since 2003 when the event was held in Canada”, commented  Hugh Conlin, Athletics Canada’s Director / Head Coach of Development Programs. “With an excellent staff and a very promising team of 44 athletes we are looking to improve our performances in terms of medals, top 8 and top 16 finishes.”
