INDIANAPOLIS -Ed Plummer, CEO of Harnell Capital Corp. and a former collegiate track athlete, has been named as a Director of the USA Track & Field Foundation Board, USATF Foundation Executive Director Tom Jackovic and Chairman Bob Greifeld announced Thursday.

"Ed's long-time passion for track & field and the Olympic Games will be a source of energy for the Foundation," Greifield said. "We are privileged to have him on our board."

Plummer is a founding member of Harnell Capital, which, in addition to investing equity capital, provides strategic, operational and guidance to mid-size manufacturing firms. In 2006, Plummer initiated the management buyout of Lynx Professional Grills, a leading producer of super-premium stainless steel outdoor gas grills and outdoor kitchen accessories. Plummer currently serves as Chairman of Lynx. He previously served as CEO and Chairman of Utilimaster Corporation and as Chairman of McGuire-Nicholas Company.

Plummer graduated with a BS in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University, where he competed in the pole vault. He also has an MBA from Harvard Business School. He lives in Pacific Palisades, Calif., with his wife, Susan Schnabel, and son, Nick.
