Running for Athletes to Raise $100k for Vancouver 2010
This Thanksgiving - A team of 10 members will be running a non-stop relay from Montreal to New York. Each will run 10km about 6 times in approximately 72 hours. The runners will be leaving Montreal Thursday, October 8th 2009 at 5:00pm and arriving the morning of Sunday, October 11th 2009 in front of the Empire State Building.
"In true Canadian culture and spirit we wanted to give back and do good for others, and what better cause than supporting our athletes, many who struggle financially to make it to Olympics and seek the dream. Our goal is to raise enough money to sponsor ten Canadian athletes. It is simple and it is sincere." Sara Kesheh, Team Running for Athletes .
The 10 runners have dedicated their challenge and efforts to raise money for the Canadian Athletes Now Fund (www.canadianathletesnow.ca).
Donate $10 this Thanksgiving to these 10 people who in their own lives are making the impossible possible and for our athletes who give everything they’ve got for a complete unknown and represent Canada on the world stage.
For everyone of us who has had emotional, intellectual, financial wealth because of what Canada has provided.
With every donation you find out the name of the Canadian athlete you have supported and receive a tax receipt.
