Toronto, ON – October 15, 2009 – The excitement of the 15th Annual Toronto Marathon begins at the Toronto Marathon Runners Expo. Runners pick up their race kits and shop around for the latest in running gear while gathering information on the most enticing international marathon destinations.

When: Friday Oct. 16th, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.; Saturday Oct. 17th, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
In preparation for race day, the Toronto Marathon will host a carbo load dinner on Saturday October 17, 2009 at 6 p.m. The dinner will feature a runners’ workshop with guest speakers including running legend Kathrine Switzer and Bill Rodgers.

The Toronto Marathon is the largest and oldest marathon in Toronto, generating over $15 million to the local economy each year. Over 14,000 participants from 55+ countries are expected to participate in the Marathon, Half Marathon, 5K or Relay on October 18th.
