(Vancouver, BC.) Sun Runners will have a few more weeks to train in 2010 for the running of the Vancouver Sun Run, as the event, traditionally held in April, is set to go on Sunday, May 9 at 9am.
"We look forward to another great Sun Run in 2010. It's such a great celebration of the benefits of personal achievement through health and fitness and a tribute to the magic of community spirit. The date is a little later in the year than usual due to a unique scheduling change, but already the enthusiasm is growing and people are making plans to make sure they don't miss out," stated Jamie Pitblado, Vice-President of Promotions and Community Investment for the Vancouver Sun.
The event will return to its usual April time slot in 2011.
Registration is now open for Canada's largest 10K. Register by the early-bird deadline of January 31 and pay only $35.00 for the individual entry. The fee includes a souvenir T-shirt featuring artwork by acclaimed artist Tiko Kerr. Register on-line NOW at www.sunrun.com.
