Athletics: Saucony ® KOA TR Trail Shoe Named "Best Debut" By Runner’s World In 2017 October Trail Shoe Buyer’s Guide

All-new road-to-dirt warrior features Saucony’s award-winning EVERUN™ technology for enhanced energy return no matter how long the trail

WALTHAM, MA (September 20, 2017):Saucony, committed to helping people ‘run their world,’ announced that the all-new Saucony KOA TR has been named "Best Debut" in the Runner's World 2017 October Trail Shoe Buyer’s Guide. The KOA TR, a road-to-dirt warrior that’s as at home on the blacktop as it is on the trail, features Saucony’s award-winning EVERUN™ Topsole construction for enhanced energy return and continuous cushioning, no matter how long the run.

To capture the "Best Debut" award, the KOA TR received high marks from the Runner’s World shoe lab, its wear-testers and editors for the October Trail Shoe Buyer’s Guide.

"Here at Runner’s World HQ, we have to log more than a mile on blacktop to reach our local trail loop," said Runner’s World in its review of the shoe. "It’s on such runs that the KOA TR shines. The outsole features a lot of closely spaced 3.5 mm lugs that roll almost as smoothly as a road shoe on flat surfaces. But when you hit the dirt, they have enough bite to deliver confidence. And like a good hybrid shoe, they have that road-worthy comfort—a full-length layer of bouncy foam sits just beneath the sockliner to give you a little extra cushioning."

"With a 26% growth in trail running participation over the past three years*, we continue to raise the bar in both product innovation and the trail running experience," said Doug Smiley, business unit manager for Saucony running. "For those with a passion for the dirt, the all-new KOA TR with EVERUN™ definitely stands apart from the crowd with its great underfoot feeling on all kinds of surfaces. To have the KOA TR honored as the "Best Debut" in the market by the respected editors at Runner’s World means a great deal to our team, who spent countless hours ensuring that every part of this shoe would inspire trail runners everywhere."
