LAS VEGAS, Nev. (Dec. 21, 2021) – For the first time in the history of the race, the Rock ‘n’ Roll® Running Series Las Vegas 5K will be glowing under the neon lights of Fremont East Entertainment District and the Fremont Experience. The new 5K location is just steps away from the Encore Entertainment, where all race weekend participants will enjoy an immersive performance by Symphonic Rockshow at the Downtown Las Vegas Event Center.

“Moving Saturday’s events to downtown allows us to showcase even more of Las Vegas as a destination,” said Nicole Christenson, Rock 'n' Roll Running Series Las Vegas Race Director and Las Vegas local. “Running under the vibrant neon signs along the Fremont East District and finishing by the shining lights of the Fremont Experience brings something completely new to the ultimate running party weekend.”

The 5K starts on Carson and Las Vegas Boulevard and finishes at Fremont Street Experience by SlotZilla. The Saturday night race runs through Container Park’s idyllic open-air shopping center and the iconic 40-foot, fire-breathing Praying Mantis sculpture, with bands and entertainment interspersed every mile. Participants who run both nights earn glowing, Casino-inspired medals for each distance and a third Remix Challenge medal for completing two races.

The reimagined #StripatNight weekend experience takes place Feb. 26-27, 2022 with the downtown 5K and Encore Entertainment featuring the Symphonic the Rockshow on Saturday, Feb. 26, and the half marathon and 10K on Sunday night, Feb. 27. A three-day Health & Fitness Expo, where runners pick up their race packet, will feature DJs and an emcee to interact with participants, non-stop music, live entertainment, numerous photo opportunities including art installations and life-size marquee letters and more.
