Athletics: Saucony ® Announces Sponsorhip Of Dana-Farber And The Jimmy Fund’s Run Any Race Program

LEXINGTON, MA (January 28, 2016): Saucony, relentlessly committed to empowering the human spirit through running, announces its presenting sponsorship of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund’s Run Any Race (RAR) program. Through RAR, anyone can run any road or endurance race to raise funds for Boston’s world-renowned Dana-Farber. First, participants choose any race of any distance, anywhere, and register for the event through the race organization. Then, they fill out Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund’s simple online form to activate their event fundraising web page. Runners set their own fundraising goals and may run as an individual or create a group. Every dollar raised supports Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund.

"This is an extraordinary opportunity for Saucony and the running community to do good by doing what we love - running," said Mary O’Brien, vice president of marketing for Saucony. "Thousands of runners raise millions of dollars each year to further the life-saving mission of Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund. The Dana-Farber Run Any Race program extends the fundraising opportunity for runners everywhere to ‘find their strong’ by running any race of any distance in support of Dana-Farber’s ultimate goal of eradicating cancer."

"We are proud that Saucony is the first-ever presenting sponsor of our Run Any Race program," said Jan Ross, assistant vice president of Running Programs for Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund. "The Saucony brand and its values align with our program offering runners the flexibility to choose any race, anywhere, as well as setting their own fundraising goals to support the Institute’s mission. Saucony’s established prominence and broad reach within the running community will empower runners to raise funds for cancer care and research at Dana-Farber."
