Lumo Run Helps Runners Improve With Powerful Data

New York (March 31): Race Results Weekly, the most authoritative source of global distance running results and news, has partnered with Lumo Bodytech, a Silicon Valley wearables company which has developed Lumo Run, a unique and powerful system which provides runners with valuable data and insights about their running form and efficiency.

The Lumo Run wearable device combines the powerful data of a running lab and the personal attention of a coach. Lumo Run provides real-time feedback to improve running form and efficiency, which can increase performance and reduce the risk of injury. The lightweight, discreet sensor is placed on the small of the back, either in a clip or a custom pocket integrated into the smart shorts. The Lumo Run sensor measures cadence; bounce; braking; pelvic tilt, rotation, and drop; stride length; and ground contact time. Data from the sensor is transferred wirelessly to the Lumo Run App, allowing runners and coaches to deeply analyze the data, create a unique data signature for each runner, and chart improvement. The sensor is waterproof (it’s even machine-washable) and a single charge lasts up to one month. The sensor is available both as a clip-on device, or as part of a running short for men or a capri tight for women. "Lumo Run really takes running into the 21st century," said David Monti, Editor & Publisher of Race Results Weekly. "Both affordable and practical, Lumo Run gives runners and their coaches at all levels actionable feedback on how they can improve their running. I’m very pleased that Lumo Bodytech has chosen to partner with Race Results Weekly. We’re both obsessed with accurate and practical running information." "We’re excited that Race Results Weekly will be helping us get the word out on Lumo Run," commented Mark Mastalir, Lumo Bodytech’s Vice-President of Marketing and Partnerships. "For 20 years, Race Results Weekly has provided the running industry with accurate data and news, and that fits perfectly with our goal of providing individual runners with truly accurate data that they can really use!" Lumo Run is now available for pre-order at LumoBodytech.com where runners can find a full description of the product, including videos showing the product in action. Lumo Run will ship in June.
