Ottawa, September 1, 2016 - Registration for the 2017 Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend (#RunOttawa2017) is now open. Starting today, people can register for the Scotiabank Ottawa Kids Marathon, Ottawa 2K, HTG Sports 5K, Ottawa 10K, Scotiabank Half-Marathon and Scotiabank Ottawa Marathon at www.runottawa.ca

"2017 promises to be a great year for our country, our city, and our runners," said John Halvorsen, President of Run Ottawa and Race Director of the Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend. "We have a number of exciting activities in the works to mark Canada's 150th at our event. Details will be announced in the coming months."

Again this year, runners are encouraged to take part in the Scotiabank Charity Challenge to make their race even more meaningful. Last year, runners raised more $775,000 for one of 61 national charities participating in the challenge.

The 2017 Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend will take place on May 27-28, 2017.
