Triathlete/Dietician, Another Mother Runner Authors Also Among Featured Presenters
St. Paul, Minn. - October 4, 2016 - Olympic silver medalist Paul Wylie, triathlete and dietician Michele Tuttle, and Sarah Bowen Shea and Dimity McDowell of Another Mother Runner will headline the free seminar lineup at the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon Health & Fitness Expo at Saint Paul RiverCentre on October 7 & 8.
Wylie, the 1992 Olympic men’s figure skating silver medalist and the Honorary Captain of 2016 Global Heroes team competing in the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon and Medtronic TC 10 Mile, will share the story of his sudden cardiac arrest and subsequent recovery thanks to an implanted medical device. On Sunday, Wylie will compete in the Medtronic TC 10 Mile.
Tuttle’s talk, "Athlete’s Table " What, When and How to Eat for your Best Performance,- will feature insights from the multisport athlete and registered dietician. Bowen Shea and McDowell, co-authors of the popular Another Mother Runners series of books and leaders of the online community the books spawned, will offer a talk titled, "Excel + Enjoy: How to Race Like a Mother."
The two days of free expo seminars speakers will also include respected local coach Dennis Barker and a roster of experts from Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine. Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine presenters will speak on a wide variety of topics including injury prevention and treatment and nutrition strategies during and after competition.
